RSVP began in Kittitas County in 1974. 2008 will be the 34th year of serving
senior volunteers!

RSVP has been in several different
locations including the 5th Avenue Center, the Morris Sorenson Building, a small church, a small office on Main Street, a small building on 3rd Street, back to the Morris Sorenson Building, the Davidson Building, and the People for People office. RSVP was next located at the Puget Sound Energy Building
until February 24, 2003 when they re-located to the Pearl Business Center.
Directors and Staff
Terry Marconi, Jan Spidel, Jo Green,
and Carol Findley have served as directors for RSVP. Staff members include Iva Nance, Lorna Amdahl, Ester Dalzell, Evelyn Circle, Clo Dillon, Jodi Baxter, Astrid Simon, Adrienne Zimny
and Kelley Quirk. Numerous volunteers have also helped throughout the years.

First Advisory Council Chairperson The first person to serve as chairperson of
the Advisory Council was Thelma McKinsey.
First Recognition Event
The first RSVP recognition event was held
in I 976 at the Holiday Inn in Ellensburg.
First United Way Contributions
RSVP began receiving United Way funds
in 1979. RSVP is grateful to have received
contributions each year since!
Fund Raisers
Fund raisers have varied throughout the 34 years. They have included Christmas bazaars, Friday Factory Days to make the crafts, couponing, selling Christmas trees,
fireworks, raffles, rest stops, pie booths, store discount days, garage sales, food fairs, Entertainment Coupon Books, grand openings at local stores,
car shows an Upscale-Resale events.
